Monday March

31.1.11

Two weeks ago I went to Modefabriek Amsterdam with BFF Kelli to check out new brands for her shop. The fair was a bit disappointing, but at least I discovered one new brand I would like to have some clothes from: Monday March. The first collection of this brand new Dutch brand will appear in stores this Spring, and brings feminine and timeless clothes with a cool edge. Catchphrase of the brand is 'Let love, hope, faith and food lead you all the way!'. Couldn't agree more...

Sfäär

30.1.11

I'm a list maker: grocery lists, recipes I want to make, places to visit, things to do... I write them down in notebooks, on post-its, on scraps of paper that then pile up on my desk. Anyway, I found a new address for my places-to-visit-list: Sfäär in Tallinn. The capital of Estland is European Capital of Culture in 2011 and Sfäär is the address to visit if you're there. It's a mix of restaurant and shop with vintage furniture, books, cool clothes and more. Yummy food and fashion, a perfect combination!

Et Dieu créa la femme

29.1.11

She's French, ravissante and if that alone is not enough to envy her... she's also married to a gorgeous man. As muse of Karl Lagerfeld she gets access to fashion shows, parties and lots of Chanel goodies. After last years campaign for the new lip line Rouge Coco, here are the pictures for the launch of Rouge Coco Shine. The glossy shades will be available from March.

Flower power

28.1.11

Desperately waiting for Spring... the first warm days... picnics in the park... strolls along the water...can't help but daydream about the warmer days to come...and imagine what I would wear.

For all eternity

The bangles

24.1.11

I love the stacked charms, bracelets and cuffs as seen on the SS shows. Pile on as many pieces as possible for a statement look. Big and bold or small and delicate, anything goes. I'll be investing in some silver bracelets to complement my Spring outfits.

Blanche neige

22.1.11

Crisp white clothes are a big hit this spring. Not so easy to keep squeaky-clean, but great to show off your tan. If only summer would finally kick in...

Colorama

18.1.11

Every colour of the rainbow is represented in this year's spring collections. Mix-and-match or colour block. No dull black for me the following months, I'm on a strict diet of colours.

Paris please

14.1.11

Feel like going on a trip to my beloved Paris, but for the time being I have to be satisfied dressing the Parisian way.

Coup de foudre

11.1.11

Fell in love with the new Milly-collection. I want just about everything Michelle Smith has designed for SS 2011. The eclectic mix of patterns, the turbans, bohemian prints and oversized sunglasses make my heart go boum boum.

H&M by Kling

10.1.11

H&M has announced a new collaboration: Swedish fashion blogger Elin Kling had the chance to design a capsule collection for the brand. The minimalistic items with bohemian influences are available as of February 3rd. Sadly, only in Sweden.

Blooming

6.1.11

Wake up and smell the flowers... they are everywhere in the SS 2011 collections. Feels like spring is just around the corner.

The Big Sleep

Think pink

3.1.11

Let's talk colour! 2011 will bring vibrant, energetic colours our way. Colour-of-the-year as voted by Pantone is honeysuckle, a reddish-pink that breathes nostalgia. It's a positive and strong colour that works well for all ages and skintones. The shade showed up in several SS 2011 collections and will no doubt find it's way to the highstreet.
