And the nominees for Best Dressed Actress in a Leading Role are: Natalie Portman in Rodarte, Halle Berry in Marchesa, Mila Kunis in Elie Saab, Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa (but her own design!), Cate Blanchett in Givenchy. Who's the winner according to you?

Happy & Healthy

Mr Postman brought me another package yesterday. Once in a while I get the urge to ban all sugar, sweets and other delicious unhealthy stuff from my diet and eat fruit and veggies all day long. Needless to say, I have the occasional relapse. But now I have a secret weapon: cookbook 'Super Natural Cooking' by Heidi Swanson. Her blog 101cookbooks was already an inspiration for my daily cooking: fresh and healthy recipes with lots of tasty natural ingredients. The beautiful pictures on her blog make every dish seem so yummy, you just want to try it out. Ready, set, start cooking!

One of my new favourite colours is beige. I used to find it bland, but now can't get enough of the many variations: caramel, sand, café au lait, camel, khaki...

Animal farm

It was love at first sight with the limited-edition prints of Woop studios. A whole alphabet with the collective nouns of nature's creatures in bright colours. My favourite?
A pandemonium of parrots!

Cute shoes

Found a cute shoe brand on the internet the other day. Marais USA is founded by two American girls that attended Parsons. They wanted to create simple, versatile shoes that won't leave your wallet empty. Mission accomplished in my opinion. Not yet for sale in Belgium, but you can order online.

Red carpet - part I

Watched the Bafta's last night. Me: in my PJs stretched out on the sofa, The Hollywood Starlets: strutting their stuff on the red carpet. Absolutely loved Jessica Alba's dress and hairdo. Two more weeks and it's Oscar time...

Do you ever come across these über-cute vintage tins on flea markets? I do all the time and have collected a couple of real pretty ones. I keep my earrings and bracelets in them, buttons and ribbons... British aromatherapist Andrea Garland re-uses vintage tins and fills them with her natural made balms for lips and body. You can even get a refill! Buy your favourite retro tub on her site and have the most exclusive lip balm in your handbag.

Ray of light

I'm in desperate need of some sunshine. Winter is getting the better of me and I'm tired of putting on my warm winter clothes. Editorials like this one make me crave a holiday. Right now please!

Le trench

This year marks the 50th birthday of the iconic movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Who doesn't remember the scene in the rain where Audrey Hepburn is wearing a trench? Since then the trench coat has become a staple in our wardrobes. Streetstyle-photographer Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist even made a whole photo series starring this coat with military origins, "Art of Trench", for British brand Burberry. The coat is as easy to combine with jeans as with a dress and I, for one, wouldn't want to miss mine.

The new Vanity Fair cover features the upcoming acting talents in Hollywood. From James Franco and Anne Hathaway to Olivia Wilde (check out the barely-there-dress) and Mila Kunis. Photographed by Norman Jean Roy in a glamourous setting that reminds of Saigon in the 1930s. Almost Oscar night!

Paris vs NY

Today was a good day, I discovered a cool new blog. On parisvsnyc.blogspot.com graphic designer Vahram Muratyan shows Paris and NY in a 'friendly visual match between the two cities'. No words needed.
