Home made

Made the first home-cooked meal in my new place last night. The temporary kitchen is finally up-and-running and now I can make all the fantastic meals I have been fantasizing about the last couple of weeks. Like the recipes on new blog crush TheVeganStoner. I'm a flexitarian, so I like the occasional piece of meat, but the colourfull dishes on this blog make me reach for my pots and pans. Chickpea curry anyone?

Jump around

Came across these pictures that photographer Craig Arend shot for NYMag during Fashion Week Paris in July. Fashionistas jumping for joy. Recognize any of them?

Print parade

The runway shows for SS 2012 didn't get my full attention. Picking out new furniture has come first place. Nevertheless one trend caught my eye: the mix-and-match of prints. Absolutely loved what Proenza Schouler, Burberry and Peter Pilotto showed!

One of my favourite sources of inspiration is The Coveteur. The beautiful photos give an intimate peek into the wardrobes of fashion's elite. Discover the person behind all the cool clothes and get a taste of their unique style.

I wanted to make today memorable, but almost forgot it's exactly one year ago today that I started blogging. In between moving my stuff, decorating my new home and working 9-to-5, it really slipped my mind. Hard to believe it's been a whole year since I've started this blog. Time really flies...
The following weeks will be hectic, but I promise to write as often as possible. Outfit posts are still not my thing, but you can expext lots of fashion, design and travel tips. Stay tuned!

I'm living out of my suitcase at the moment, because my new dressing isn't up and running yet. As rock-'n-roll as this might sound, it is not. Basic white tees and jeans shirts are my fashion fix du jour. My sleepy head can't muster more in the mornings...

Moved house yesterday and I'm surrounded by millions of cardboard boxes as we speak. Still have to figure out when I'm going to unpack them all. In the meantime I like to daydream about a ready-home with all its walls and floors in place, no more boxes lying around and perfect paint on all the walls. I love looking for interior inspiration on designsponge, a site that combines design, DIY-projects and city tips. Here are some of my favourite rooms...

Still on the lookout for some nice illustrations to hang on the walls of my new place. Australian illustrator Caitlin Shearer makes beautiful watercolour portraits of imagined people in vintage Hollywood décors. You can even have your own portrait made. Buy the paintings in her online shop or order your very own custom portrait via her site. Perfect wedding present if you ask me...

Some Zen-wisdom to keep me going in this hectic week. I'm moving house on Thursday and still have loads to do...

Madame Fashion

Carine Roitfeld has been writing a book on her 30 year-career as a fashion stylist and editor. The former editor-in-chief of French Vogue has collected her favourite covers and editorials from Vogue and other magazines, as well as personal photos and notes from designers. The result: 368 pages full of fashion. One for the wishlist!

Love the rusty colours in these fall-ads. Remind me of the corroded radiators in my new place. Painting them a creamy white as we speak...
