I like to be inspired by other people's lives. Reading biographies, sneaking around their houses on The Coveteur and now reading about their dreams, ideas and memories on Nowness. From Chanel make-up guru Peter Philips to fashion enigma Daphne Guinness and vegetarian chef Yotam Ottolenghi, they all share something that's special to them. Telling their story.

I think people are more important than the clothes. Clothes are just a nice envelope, but the letter inside the envelope is more important.

Got to know premium English denim brand MiH Jeans via friend Kelli who sells the goodies. The jeans are the perfect flattering fit, have a beautiful vintage look and come in different washings. The original Made in Heaven dates back to 1969 and the 70s vibe echoes in models like The Marrakesh and The Sugarland. The company works together with small family-run denim factories all over the world and are creating the best jeans on earth... or so they claim.

I'm pretty basic when it comes to my beauty routine. Just some good products, a regular facial at the beauty salon plus some supplements like Zinc and Omega 3. Too done up just doesn't suit me. The only exception is bright coloured nail polish. I cherish my growing collection from Chanel, Essie and OPI. I love to read about cosmetics and beauty products though. Into the gloss is a beauty blog that shows the bathroom cabinets of editors and stylists. Tips&tricks, product highlights and top tools...beauty galore.

Nuts for Van Noten

I love Dries Van Noten, there I said it. Season after season I watch him send the most gorgeous collections out on the runway and I cast longing looks at the windows of his shop in the Nationalestraat. Yesterday I went to the stocksale in his Antwerp warehouse-by-the-water and  got to touch  all those beautiful garments. The intricate details, complex embroidery and unique fabrics made my heart skip a beat. The price tags showed me that owning my very own Dries would be a thing for the future. For now, I'm dusting off my sewing machine and will be making my own design in one of his signature silk prints.

Not feeling my bubbly self, due to my first cold of winter. Runny nose, chills and a cracky voice all included. Best excuse to wear my silk pj pants to work. If all those cool fashion chicks can get away with it...

The pile of to do-lists on my desk is getting bigger every day. Between work and the renovation of my apartment, there are a million other things on my mind. And then I came across this list, which is lots more fun to cross off. Item no.1 is already taken care of...

Louis Vuitton showed a fairytale merry-go-round for SS 2012 at Paris fashion week. Beautiful pastel colours, delicate floaty fabrics, intricate details on collars and cuffs. Note to self: buy a pale pastel blouse and puffed skirt.

Loved this editorial in the October issue of American Vogue. Grace Coddington styled this shoot to perfection.

Dress me up

Why dresses? Because I'm bored with trousers.

Vin rouge

Burgundy is thé colour this autumn. From catwalk to high street, different shades of the purplish red are everywhere. It's a bold colour that reminds of a glass of red wine. Great alternative for black and combines beautiful with dark blue and camel. Tchin-tchin!
