My my Marni

Take note! On Thursday the 8th of March, the new H&M collaboration hits selected stores. And yes oh yes, none other than Consuelo Castiglioni, founder and creative director of Marni, designed this one. Can't wait to try on the goodies.

The most difficult thing to move were all my books. There are hundreds of them, they don't even fit in my bookcase anymore. So there is a pile of them on the nightstand, a selection by the sofa and a couple of cookbooks are lingering in the kitchen.
Artist Jane Mount started the project 'The ideal bookshelf' a while ago. She paints your favourite books and has created some 'ideal ones' along the way. As she sees it
you can actually learn a lot about folks by their books' covers. Wouldn't mind the following selections piling up chez moi.

Can't muster much more today, seems like my eyelids are stuck together. Leaving work early to relax and start the weekend!

Party clothes

If a French girl has to go out, she is going to start by dressing up, then at the last minute, she's going to grab the old jeans that she was wearing all day and say, "F*** it! I feel more me like this.
- Isabel Marant

More style inspiration by Madewell. Getting dressed was never so easy... Check out Madewell-poster girl Alexa Chung's holiday picks on their site. On my wishlist: striped pajama pants, polkadot undies, sweater leggings and a flannel boyshirt.

Sister act

Sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning steal the show in the new issue of W Magazine. The teenage actresses talk on being famous, their obsession with reality TV and love for clothes. Beauty and a great sense of style seem to run in the family...

Getting dressed in the morning is getting pretty easy thanks to J.Crew. Check out their 14-days guide of outfits and shop the stylish clothes online. PS: their cashmere sweaters are great Christmas gifts.

Joking around

Got a sneak peek at some SS2012 collections (thx Barbara for the invitation) and boy oh boy, I'm already lusting for spring. On the shoppinglist: great jeans in beautiful pastel colours from Astrid Jane, lots of sparkles chez Ambre Babzoe, crazy t-shirts from Wildfox and unique Atelier Assemblé-dresses. Also want to buy these fun shirts from French brand Eleven Paris. Different celebrities for every season, the joke's on us.
More pictures of my finds soon to follow.

Wholesome food

Autumn has arrived. Leaves crunching beneath your feet, cool air and comfort food. Like the dishes on this blog. All grain, gluten and sugar free but looking absolutely delicious. Drool over the beautiful pictures and start cooking. First recipe on my to cook-list: this one.

My weekends are still reserved for working in the apartment: painting walls, sanding floors, assembling cabinets. The only thing that can really take my mind off my long DIY-list these days is Danish crime series The Killing. Inspector Sarah Lund is searching the killer of Nanna Birk Larsen, a 19-year old who is found brutally murdered. Suspect upon suspect, violence and political intrigue is enough to keep me hooked. Still two more episodes to go and I will finally know who's done the deed.
Seems I like all things Scandinavian nowadays. From interior design to fashion, writers like Swede Jens Lapidus, Norske series Varg Veum and kötbullar meatballs at Ikea. Maybe my next trip should be up north?
