Yummy mummies

If you ever doubted you could keep your cool while being a mother (like me), new site The Glow proves you otherwise. The site is the brainchild of Violet Gaynor and Kelly Stuart, who both work in the media. The Glow visits well-known mums like Rebecca Minkoff, Cynthia Rowley, Zoë Buckman and many more. All inspirational in the way they style their homes, handle motherhood and multitask.

The editors

Take cue from fashion finest and look for inspiration in the way fashion editors around the globe dress. From the rock-'n-roll edge à la française, the candy colours of UK's stylists and the American classic cool, there's something for everyone's taste.

The walls of my new living room are still bare, nothing is hanging on them yet. A collection of frames is gathering on the windowsills, waiting till I get out my hammer and nails. In the bedroom I taped pictures on the walls with fun Japanese masking tape, but in the living room I want to create clean lines. More like a patchwork of frames in different sizes. Something like the walls in the photos below, a work of art themselves.

Aussie style

Feeling greedy when looking at the new collection of Australian brand Maurie and Eve. Named after the grandparents of design trio Kelly and Scott Davies and Maya Clemmensen, the brand combines modern femininity with a tough edge. The stylish outfits are ready to wear and would fit perfectly in my wardrobe ... I could live in those silky PJ pants... Spring, where art thou?

Une fille comme les autres

Video from one of my favourite French magazines: Jalouse. If only reading the magazine would make us look so cool as Ashley Smith. Je veux être comme elle...

Geeky love

Funny nerdy designs by Boston illustrator Nicole Martinez, found via cool blog Honestly WTF. “My boyfriend and I came up with the phrase ‘nerdy dirty’ a while ago because we would say such nerdy things when we were trying to be romantic,” says Nicole. “So when I got the urge to design something sweet I could only think of things like ‘Aorta tell you how much I love you.’ Hence, the Nerdy Dirty poster series was born.” Buy these and other fun designs at the Society6 Shop.

A new year, a new diet... After the party season I seem to crave healthy homemade food, lots of vegetables and the occasional only-fruit-today-day. Even though my kitchen isn't fully up-and-running yet (I have a camping stove at the moment), I love to try out new recipes. I find lots of inspiration on some great food blogs. My favourites are:

Pretty pastel palette

Spring 2012 is going to be bright and beautiful, if you believe the colorful people at Pantone. Mix&match pale pastels and bold colors like Tangerine Tango and Cabaret. The following shoot from Harpers Bazaar Russia reflects this color trend perfectly. It was styled by Natalie Joos, who's blog has been on my reading list for quite a while now. Pastels+flowers+a pop of color = prettiness!

Welcome 2012!

2011 has gone by like a whirlwind... so many good things happened to me, not in the least buying my own appartment in the city centre of Antwerp. I have lots to be grateful for at the moment and I hope 2012 continues under the same lucky stars.
I wish all of you the very best for the new year! Thank you for stopping by on my blog, I appreciate every comment and e-mail. The blog has been a bit neglected lately, but I plan to shake things up in the new year. Stay tuned!

ps/ Made any new year resolutions? I happen to have made the same as my all-time favourite blogger Garance: getting up early every morning to squeeze in some yoga and meditation. Zen...
