Woke up to inches of snow this morning. In March. Oh well, nothing to do about it. So I put on layer on layer of clothes to keep warm. With underneath it all, the flimsiest silk summer top in my wardrobe. Playing pretend.

Getting ready for another round of DIY - the floors of the living area need to get sanded and stained. A messy job, so I'm packing all my books and retro china in boxes to go into storage. The music collection and plants are getting a new temporary home in my bedroom. Sounds like fun, no?
And then there are all the extra projects I'm thinking about. Like this beautiful wallpaper by Borastapeter, a design from Danish designer Arne Jacobsen. Perfect for the hallway. Next on the to do-list.

Lately

Spent the past week curled up in bed and on the sofa fighting the flu. With hardly any energy left, all I could muster in between naps was watching the telly and reading. Finally saw The Killing III and boy, was it good. Indulged in some retail therapy - new online store &OtherStories is sending me goodies as we speak. Read new it-book Gone Girl, a real page-turner. As soon as I finished it, I ordered the other books Gillian Flynn wrote - another parcel on the way home. Spending so much time on the sofa made me realise my new one has to be really comfy, perhaps I will find it here. And it seems my new Pinterest-addiction is proving hard to get rid off, not unlike the flu.

What I loved... in February

February was short and sweet. Went to the Madame Grès exhibition in the MoMu and would have loved to take some original dresses home with me. So delicate and beautiful. Got a new haircut, a bit shorter. Had a lovely brunch with the talented Eefje, at the Vogeltjesmarkt. Spent an afternoon treasure hunting in the  brocante stores in the Kloosterstraat. Cityhopped to Breda, for a lovely day in the sun with a friend. Came home with lots of  BareMinerals goodies. Party-of-the-month: a Saturday night in Café Vogelenzang, crashing someone's birthday party.
