Birds of paradise

The weekend is fast approaching... Looking for a nice way to spend your Saturday? Why not visit Antwerp and go see the new exhibition at the fashion museum aka MoMu? I had the pleasure to preview 'Birds of Paradise' last Thursday and really loved it. Feathers, fluff and plumes - the haute couture on display showcases them all. From Marlene Dietrich's unique coat made from swans down to soft Chanel dresses and an intricate Dior dress with rooster feathers. Our guide knew the ins and outs of every design - who knew the art of 'plumissage' makes ordinary chicken feathers look like something from another world?
